Dallas has so many hidden gems but some of them are taken to the next level. The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection is the largest samurai collection outside of Japan and it’s located right here in Texas. The collection was put on display in 2012 and has over 1,000 items in the collection. Some of the items on display include armor, masks, helmets, and weaponry. The collection is ever-growing and rotates twice a year to give visitors something cool and new to look at. The museum is definitely a hidden gem as it is above a restaurant in Harwood. You can take a self-guided tour around the museum and they even have a mini library filled with books about the samurai’s adventures.
