LOWELL — One by one, the boys of summer took the field at LeLacheur Park. As did the girls of summer. And the boys and girls of both winter and fall. The Lowell Spinners weren’t the only ones on the diamond Tuesday evening, as the Lowell Sun’s high school all-stars were honored in a ceremony prior to the night’s game against the Hudson Valley Renegades. Athletes from all sports and every school in the Sun’s coverage area were recognized. “It’s a pleasure for us to associated with such talented student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the field,” Spinners general manager Shawn Smith said. “This is what we’re all about: Serving our community and honoring those who do great things. Support Act announces 2019 date for AusMusic T-Shirt Day – Tone Deaf

Whip out your favourite piece of Aussie music merch, because Support Act have unveiled the date for this year’s AusMusic T-Shirt Day. For a few years now, fans of Australian music have shown their support for the local scene participating in AusMusic T-Shirt Day. Created by triple j and the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), Support Act serve as a key partner in the initiative, raising funds to provide crisis relief and mental health services to artists, crew and music workers who are doing it tough. While on the outside, it serves as a great way for fans to rep their favourite artist’s merch, it also helps to give back to those who make our music scene great, with 2018’s event raising $111,572 – far beyond their goal of $60,000!
